1. Use of Website

This website is intended to provide information about Aurum’s products, services, capabilities, documentation, and ordering processes. You agree to use this website only for lawful business purposes and in a manner that does not interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of the website.

You may not use this website to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system, account, database, or document repository;
• Copy, scrape, reproduce, or redistribute website content for commercial purposes without written permission;
• Misrepresent your identity, organization, intended product use, or regulatory status.

2. Products for Laboratory and Research Use

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, Aurum products are intended for laboratory, research, analytical, quality control, method development, validation, or regulated testing use only.

Aurum products are not intended for human or veterinary consumption, therapeutic use, diagnostic administration, food use, cosmetic formulation, household use, or any other use outside of a controlled laboratory or qualified professional setting.

The purchaser is solely responsible for ensuring that all products are handled, stored, transported, used, and disposed of in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, institutional procedures, and safety practices.

3. Customer Responsibility for Product Suitability

Aurum provides reference materials, analytical standards, custom standards, and related documentation based on available characterization, traceability, specifications, and customer requirements. However, the customer is responsible for determining whether a product is suitable for its intended application, method, regulatory program, jurisdiction, or quality system.

Product information, including certificates, specifications, nominal values, uncertainty values, safety information, and storage recommendations, is provided for technical guidance and quality documentation purposes. It does not relieve the customer of responsibility for method validation, qualification, suitability assessment, or compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

4. Certificates, SDS, and Documentation

Where applicable, Aurum may provide supporting documentation such as Certificates of Analysis, Certificates of Calibration, Safety Data Sheets, product specifications, traceability information, or other technical documents.

Documentation is provided based on the product, lot, and version available at the time of release or shipment. Customers are responsible for ensuring they are using the correct document version associated with the applicable lot or batch.

Aurum makes commercially reasonable efforts to ensure that documentation is accurate and complete. However, typographical errors, formatting updates, regulatory revisions, or technical corrections may occur. Aurum reserves the right to revise, update, or replace documentation as needed.

5. Ordering and Acceptance

Submission of an order, quote request, web form, purchase order, or online checkout does not guarantee acceptance of the order. Aurum reserves the right to accept, reject, cancel, or request additional information for any order at its discretion.

Orders may be subject to review for:

• Product availability;
• Customer qualification;
• Intended use;
• Shipping restrictions;
• Regulatory limitations;
• Payment status;
• Export control or restricted-party concerns;
• Hazardous material or carrier limitations.

An order is considered accepted only when confirmed by Aurum in writing or when the product is shipped.

6. Pricing, Quotations, and Payment

Prices listed on the website, in catalogs, or in other materials are subject to change without notice unless otherwise stated in a written quotation.

Written quotations are valid only for the period stated on the quote. If no validity period is stated, the quotation is valid for thirty calendar days from the date of issue.

Payment terms are determined by Aurum and may vary by customer, order type, product type, or credit approval status. Aurum reserves the right to require prepayment, credit card payment, ACH/wire transfer, or other approved payment methods prior to shipment.

The customer is responsible for all applicable taxes, duties, customs charges, import fees, hazardous shipping charges, carrier fees, and other costs associated with the order unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7. Shipping, Delivery, and Risk of Loss

Shipping terms, carrier selection, packaging requirements, and delivery conditions may vary based on product type, hazard classification, temperature sensitivity, destination, and applicable regulations.

Aurum will make reasonable efforts to ship products according to the agreed timeline; however, delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed unless expressly agreed in writing.

Risk of loss transfers to the customer according to the applicable shipping terms stated on the order confirmation, invoice, or quotation. If no shipping terms are stated, risk of loss transfers upon delivery of the product to the carrier.

Customers are responsible for inspecting shipments promptly upon receipt and notifying Aurum of any shipping damage, temperature excursion, missing item, or discrepancy within a reasonable period.

8. Returns, Cancellations, and Claims

Due to the nature of reference materials, analytical standards, custom products, hazardous materials, temperature-sensitive products, and regulated laboratory materials, returns may be restricted or unavailable.

Products may not be returned without prior written authorization from Aurum. Unauthorized returns may be refused or discarded.

Custom-manufactured products, special-order items, opened products, expired products, improperly stored products, or products no longer under Aurum’s custody chain may be non-returnable and non-refundable.

Any claim related to product quantity, shipment damage, documentation discrepancy, or apparent defect must be submitted promptly after receipt. Aurum may request photographs, documents, retained samples, storage records, or other supporting information before evaluating a claim.

9. Custom Products and Customer-Supplied Information

For custom standards, custom formulations, special orders, or customer-directed manufacturing, the customer is responsible for providing accurate and complete specifications, target concentrations, solvents, analytes, matrices, documentation requirements, regulatory requirements, and any other relevant instructions.

Aurum is not responsible for delays, errors, or suitability issues arising from incomplete, inaccurate, ambiguous, or changing customer instructions.

Custom products may be subject to development feasibility, raw material availability, stability limitations, technical constraints, minimum order quantities, lead times, and additional documentation requirements.

10. Compliance with Laws and Regulations

Customers are responsible for complying with all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws and regulations related to purchase, possession, storage, use, transport, import, export, disposal, and reporting of Aurum products.

This may include, but is not limited to, requirements related to:
